Today I am reaffirming my commitment to taking care of my physical self. Over the last 2+ years, I’ve needed to shift my focus towards my mental health, which ultimately took time and energy away from my physical health. Striking a balance is certainly not an easy task, and I’ll be the first to admit that our lives are in a constant state of flux, making consistency (something I personally rely on) almost nonexistent. With spring break finally upon us, I feel confident that I can begin to add in weight training and running again. My body needs it; my soul needs it; my balance will only become better once it is integrated regularly into my routine.
